Edinburgh Quaker Meeting House Room Hire

The Quaker Meeting House is a listed building on the corner of Victoria Terrace and Upper Bow. The entrance is on Victoria Terrace, a pedestrian way which runs from George IV Bridge to Johnson Terrace above Victoria Street.

Accommodation available consists of a Meeting Room at the top of the building; the Hall and Library on the first floor, and the Bow Room on the ground floor.

The building is fully accessible with a ramp at the front door, lift to all floors and accessible toilet. Induction loop facilities are available in the main rooms.
 
The building is staffed throughout the year, the Managers are happy to discuss availability and terms and rates with you during the week between 9am and 5pm.The office is closed in the evenings and at weekends.
 
Rates are per hour but we are open to negotiating day, or half day rates for longer daytime bookings.  We are well equiped with audio- visual equipment and can offer a wide range of fairtrade teas and fresh filter coffee to enable your time with us. We offer an inhouse catering service for buffet style lunches or can recomend caterers who can supply you direct.
 
We operate chiefly in the charity sector, but if you are looking for a training venue  which offers a change of pace, come and pay us a visit, you may be pleasantly surprised at what you will discover.
The Meeting Roomsecond floor

Our main room with beautiful south facing views over the city to the Pentland Hills. This carpeted room has high quality designer chairs and a hand crafted table. There is an antechamber which is perfect as a break out room.

The Hall

Standard rate £22 per hr Discount rate £15 per hr.
Our recently refurbished Hall is ideal for activities of all kinds. Its woooden floor makes it suitable for events ranging from dances to conferences and exhibitions. Stacking chairs and tables are available.

The Library

This book-lined, carpeted room is ideal for smaller meetings. It has a homely atmosphere and high quality stacking chairs. Not always available for day bookings.

Bow Room

This is a small quiet room on the ground floor with direct access to Upper Bow. Sutable for groups up to 15. Self help teas and coffees in the foyer.
