The Meeting in Milngavie is small, lively but very spiritual (average 8 people but often 10 - 12).
Visitors are very welcome.
Milngavie is a small mixed-community town, which is still referred to as "the village" even though it now has a population of 14,000. It is at the start of the "West Highland Way", the long-distance walk to Fort William.
There is a daily train service every half-hour, to and from Glasgow Central (or from Glasgow Queen Street by changing at Partick). There is also a frequent bus service (Firstbus services 109,119 or 10) from Buchanan Bus Station. The journey time by train or bus is 25-30 minutes. 109 and 119 buses are marked Baljaffray and 10 is marked Balfron or Stirling. Do not take the 149 bus, marked Milngavie, because the journey time is one hour.
A new motel and restaurant has opened since the demise of the Black Bull, which was an old coaching inn; and there are many pubs and small restaurants and good shops.
