The Friends Ambulance Unit's China Convoy
Tuesday, 12 December 2017 - 7:00pm
Edinburgh Quaker Meeting House
David Brough will outline the story of the Friends Ambulance Unit's China Convy and their relief work in China between 1941 and 1951 at this joint meeting of the Scotland-China association and South-East Scotland Area Meeting.
After providing some explanation of the FAU, David will then trace their work in China as they responded to the changing political and military context in which they operated. In so doing he will describe some of the many moral and practical challenges with which they were confronted. He will conclude by offering some reflections on the legacy of their experiences.
